Buddy Sheffield sues Disney over ‘Hannah Montana’

Buddy Sheffield filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, against The Walt Disney Company, alleging he came up with the idea for the Disney show ‘Hannah Montana’ and was never compensated.
The law suit alleges “breach of contract, breach of confidence, unfair competition and unjust enrichment”.
The character Hannah Montana is played by Billy Ray Cyrus ‘ (who wrote ‘Achy Breaky Heart ‘) daughter Miley Cyrus .
Miley Cyrus’ plays a character by the name of Hannah Montana that leads a double life as Miley Stewart. Hannah Montana is a rock star that attends a local high school and wants to be treated as a normal kid, so she attends school under the alias of Miley Stewart.
